Personal trainers are good for beginners who have no idea where to start, but personal training is also beneficial to seasoned weight lifters who want to take their training to the next level. Just like any other project, hiring a professional will cost more, but it will save you time and guarantee better results.

Why not just grab a workout buddy and compare notes? Why not clip workouts from fitness magazines and use those? Studies show that those who hire personal trainers see more success in reaching their goals. If you hire a trainer, you will also reach your goals faster.

Your workout buddy and the model in the magazine aren't qualified and certified personal trainers who can tell you when you're doing the exercises right or wrong. Second, your buddy and the model aren't passionate about your fitness like a personal trainer would be. Also, if the pretty model's tips don't work out for you, or you buddy's advice stinks, you'll still go out for a beer and buy a new magazine.

Every time you get personal training, your trainer's job is on the line. If you get injured, or you don't see results, it's bad for their business. Your personal trainer is staking their reputation on the advice they give you in every training appointment. Your personal trainer can reach out and touch you, guide you, offer you encouragement, hope, challenges, and changes based on how you react to each new set, but the model is just a piece of paper giving you a complex.

The concept of the three-legged stool applies to counting the cost and time of personal training. The three legs include time, cost and quality. You can cut the cost, but it will take more time to get more quality. When you don't seek a quality resource, it doesn't cost as much but it will take more time. Paying for a personal trainer might cost you, but personal training guarantees high quality results in a shorter amount of time.

Personal trainers are seldom in it for the money. A personal trainer has a love for fitness and wellness, and a passion to see fellow humans improve and feel good about themselves. Therefore, they are worth the time and money for the quality and focus they give you. If budget is an issue, talk to your trainer about discounts, group sessions or spreading out appointments. Find a personal trainer who is willing to work with your goals and budget, and you will never regret that expense.
