A lot of plus size women are self conscious about clothes shopping because they know that they have to buy larger sized clothes that are very often not flattering. They look at the sizes on the tags and they often buy the smaller sizes because they are too embarrassed to buy the bigger size. But there are several good reasons why it's important to buy the clothes that will fit you perfectly instead of trying to squeeze into a smaller size.

The first reason, of course, is comfort. If you buy the clothes that are tighter on you, saying that you are going to lose weight, you are not going to be comfortable while you are wearing them and you will be afraid to wear them anyway in case they rip. Even though it's embarrassing to buy a larger size, buy it because you are going to be more comfortable wearing them.
Flattering
The second reason to buy the clothes that will fit you best is because you can find styles and colors that are going to flatter your figure. Just because clothing is plus size it doesn't mean that you are going to look bad in them. In fact, there are plenty of styles of clothes that are made for larger woman and that will flatter their figures.
Enhancing and Reducing
The third reason to buy clothes that will fit you is that they are going to enhance and reduce, meaning they are going to enhance the things that are good about your figure and reduce the problem spots. But if you don't choose the right fitting clothes then you are going find yourself bulging where you don't want to be bulging. You want to make sure that you are choosing the clothing styles that are going to fit you best.
There are a few tips that you can use to help you find the perfect fit, including:
• Don't assume that the clothes will fit because of the size on the tag. There are a lot of clothes that are cut differently and what fit you in one style may not fit you in another. Try everything on. • Measure yourself. This is going to be embarrassing, but measuring yourself is going to help you to decide what clothes are going to fit you best. • Spot problem areas. The final thing you want to do is to decide where your problem areas on your body are. Do you have a lot of weight in your tummy or your butt? Or is it your hips?
It's not easy to buy larger sized clothing but the clothing that is being made these days is much more flattering than the clothing that was made years ago. Just remember that all clothing isn't cut the same so you should try the clothes on, and figure out what your problem areas are. Along with measuring yourself, these are the things that will help you achieve the right fit for you and your body.
