If you are new at writing Articles or you have finished your first out-of-the-gate publication, everyone is probably telling you that in order to get front page rankings on Google you need mega backlinks (readers who click through to your website). And if your article does not hold the eyes of ten thousand viewers in a short period of time, you won't even make page five in top SEOs. Not so.

Maybe you are just getting started, or you aren't ready yet, or are just browsing and trying to find your way. Articles are the best zero-cost advertising so of course you are seriously considering it. The beauty of article marketing is that it levels the playing field for newbies.

So your job is simple: streamline the process of writing by using a two or three 'keyword' phrase in the title and you will own those eyeballs. Now that they have opened your article, tell a story that may be the one problem in their own life, and then lead them to a happy solution... your 'resource box' at the bottom of the article.

Optimizing your resource box accomplishes much more than putting lots of energy in getting backlinks in my opinion. If you can polish this form of writing the backlinks will increase by itself without any effort from you, especially if you are just beginning. Write quality articles, otherwise you risk your business credibility and miss getting readers back to your website by writing a valueless article.

Take a few paragraphs of that article you just wrote and create a blog - this is an excellent way of generating a whole new audience; a different group of readers. What makes blogging work is by adding fresh content regularly; daily is a good goal to strive for.

Blog posts do not have to be lengthy as long as they have something worthwhile to share, and once again... a backlink to your website. The good news is blogging seems to be getting more and more sophisticated by the day.

The latest and hottest way to get multiple backlinks without even trying is to make your article into a video, and then distribute it to all of the social networks.

Did you know that YouTube is rated #2 in Alexia? This statistic alone should tell you the traffic it enjoys; and this audience likes to watch and listen! They are a busy group moving like grasshoppers from video to video. They share good "finds" with whole groups of friends and that's all to your benefit.

It boils down to a bit of work for a whole lot of benefit.
