Kai-lan Says. Offer party guests various printable with Mandarin Chinese and English words and have the party guests say the word out loud. This is a fun game that encourage children to learn a different language in a enjoyable environment. Show pictures of the expression and words being said so all the party guests have a clear understanding.
Kai-lan Link Game. Players stand back to back in pairs and link arms. One bends down so that the other player lies flat on his or her back with her legs in the air. Then the players return to the middle, and the other bends down. Still linking arms, each pair sits on the floor. Without letting go or arms the players must try to stand back up again.
Fists of Fun Fury. On the count of three, all players throw their fist out in front of them with anything from 1-5 fingers extended. At the same time, one child (take it in turns) calls out a number. If the fingers extended add up to that number, the child wins. The child must call out a number that might come up. If two children are playing, the numbers can be between 0-10; if 3 children are playing, 0-15, and so on. Children must be careful to throw their fists on time because no child wants to be excused of cheating.
Chase The Dragon Tail. Players form a line with their hands on the shoulders of the player in front.. The first in line is the dragon's head, the last in line is the dragon's tail. The dragon's head then tries to catch the tail by maneuvering the line around so that he can tag the last player. All the players in the middle do their best to hold back the dragon's head without causing a break in the line. When the head catches the tail, the tail player takes the front position and becomes the new dragon's head. All the other players move back one position.
