Give each child a small bag or basket to collect the candies. Once the time has expired, the children are call back and must tally up how many candies were collected. The child with the most candies earns a party favor of their choosing.
Peppermint Bean Bag Toss. Peppermint Bean Bag Toss is a game that requires some home building. To make the peppermint board, cut out a large circle, or draw a circle, on a large piece of wood. The piece of wood will be laid flat on the ground or floor. Once the wood is cut, sand down, and apply the primer. Draw the peppermint candy swirl on the wood using a pencil. Ensure to apply a darker pencil such as 4B to the wood so the pencil marks are visible. To ensure the peppermint swirl is accurate trace the swirl on the wood rather than drawing it free hand. Once the swirl is drawn on, paint with red and white or green and white paint and let dry.
Peppermint Bean Bag Toss can be played in a variety of ways. For example, give each team red beanbags and the second team white beanbags. The goal is to try to throw the beanbags on correlating colors e.g. red on red. The team who can successful have their color beanbags touch their color earns a point. Another option is to try to see which team can come closest to the center of the peppermint.
