Urology Void Sensors are used by doctors to study and diagnose urology issues in patients. They are used to gather information about patients that suffer from urine flow problems or have difficulty emptying their entire bladder.

Prior to such extensive testing however, a doctor will have to thoroughly examine the patient, which often starts with a physical exam. This usually consists of a rectal exam for men (to check prostate health) and a pelvic exam for women (to gather information about their pelvic muscles). A urine screen typically is used as well, to rule out any infections and to test for blood in the urine.

Many doctors will also ask questions about the patient's everyday actions, such as how much fluid they drink, and whether they consume caffeine or alcohol often. Prior to any testing the patient should be ready to honestly answer any of the doctor's questions, no matter how personal they may be to talk about.

A doctor that is properly informed about the problems their patients are having can make better decisions as to what test(s) they should perform.

Clinical Bladder Pressure Measurement

A urology void sensor is most often used to measure urine flow and any abnormalities in the bladder. A catheter is used, so as to further asses the patient's body.

With the help of an amplifier inside of it, the urology void sensor is compatible with most systems. Since the voiding sensor is made of very flexible PVC material, it is very versatile and can even be used for quick testing, such as ambulatory testing. It also is made to prevent overflow, and can be used for 3 to 30 volt DC supply testing systems.

What Are Urology Void Systems Manufactured From?

The cable used in the urology void system is made out of flexible PVC material, and has a 3 metre lead. It is equipped with a 6 pin plastic connector, and has a sensitivity that can measure 0.8 to 40mV/kg.

The diameter for the urology void sensor is only 110mm, so it can be adjusted to work well with just about every urology system. The urology void sensor is a necessary, versatile piece of equipment in urology testing that is high quality as well.
