Anyone with a bank account right now is feeling the heat of the global financial meltdown - if it hasn't touched you yet, then it seems inevitable that it will sooner or later. So more people than ever before are now turning to the internet to create an income - either to supplement what they already have, or even to become totally independent. Now, of course, the big question is - Can I do it, and How do I do it!

So trying to fit in a new business can get a little complicated! Whatever your situation - the good news is that you are not the first person to start an internet business like that - and you can absolutely be successful.

There are two things that set the internet business apart from a traditional business - and both of these work in your favour - use them in every way you can and this will catapult your results:

Firstly - the internet is 24/7 and global! Meaning that anything you do online keeps working for you all the time, automatically, whether you are working or not. Take this article for instance - I am actually writing it at 5am because our 3-year-old decided that was a good time to be out of bed this morning! It doesn't matter what timezone I am in, or if anyone else is even awake - because this article will be posted on websites around the world over the coming weeks - and will keep working for me, whether I am awake or asleep. So - when you are struggling to find time to work your business - be creative about your schedule. I do a lot of advertising early in the morning, or late at night - I have no problem losing a few hours of sleep in return for years of financial freedom to come. This is what is known as leveraging your time with a system.

Secondly - and this is the great secret that all the successful internet entrepreneurs know - make sure you are leveraging your time with other people! Remember - the fact that you have just learned these two secrets means you know more than someone just getting started - so you could mentor them. For your business - find yourself a mentor who has been successful in the way you would like to - there's no point in learning from someone who only ever made $500 if you want to make ten times that much! Just be sure that they are in a system that will give you step by step training to achieve your goals.

So why would all these successful people be prepared to teach you what they know? Simple - by showing you how to become successful, they become more successful. And as you build your team and teach others what you have learned, your checks will grow too. That's the power of leveraging other people's time in your business.
