There are literally hundreds of ways to drop weight, some simpler than others. Here are 5 quick ways to drop weight that are also fairly simple.

1. Eliminate junk food, and replace with healthier snacks. Potato chips, cookies, candy- these are all tasty, but are packed with calories. However, you actually can substitute them with healthier alternatives without sacrificing the taste.

A good replacement for the chips is popcorn, popped the old-fashioned way (stay away from the microwave stuff). Popcorn lightly salted with very little butter can do away with the craving for chips and is actually healthy.

A excellent substitution for cookies or candy bars is fresh strawberries dipped in melted dark chocolate. Again, these have some good nutritional value and taste great! Get creative and substitute the junk with some good stuff.

2. work out, start dancing again. Walking, riding a bike, swimming, etc, are excellent, but have you considered dancing?

It's a excellent interactive exercise to do with your partner or a friend, a excellent way to meet new people, if you wish, and can help you burn 600-800 calories an hour.

Whatever you end up doing, make it a priority to work out at least 30-60 minutes per day with some type of work out that is fairly vigorous. If you stay consistent with an work out program each week, you will definitely see some positive improvements quickly.

3. Do not eat any meals 3 hours before going to bed. This may even be more difficult for some people than exercising and eliminating junk food, but it really works!

You'll wake up in the morning more revitalized and hungry, which is good. Studies have shown that those who eat breakfast regularly tend to not battle weight as much as those who don't.

Since not eating for 3 hours before bedtime can be rough to do, keep plenty of healthy snacks on hand, and if you must, munch a little on them after your nighttime meal. Also, a glass of water before bed can help.

4. Pay attention to what you drink. Speaking of water, if you're not drinking 8-10 glasses (8 oz.) of water each day, you're missing out on a golden opportunity to aid in quick weight loss.

In addition, drinking soda, fruit drinks, fancy Starbucks drinks, etc, adds tons of calories because of the extreme sugar content. If you can do away with these completely, or cut way back, it will make a big difference.

5. Don't each much cheese. There is a extreme number of calories in a tiny amount of most cheeses. Most cheeses are also rich in fat and bad cholesterol, which helps pack on the pounds and also contributes to the risk of heart attacks and strokes. There are fat-free cheeses accessible if you must have cheese.

So as you can see, by just concentrating on a few areas in our life, both diet and exercise, we have the potential of losing some weight quickly and somewhat simply.
