For bigger people, or for people who would like to lose more weight, I recommend 5 to 7 cardio workouts per week. Each of them should be between 50 minutes and 1 hour. Those of you who do not want to lose weight, but just want to stay healthy should try to workout 3-4 times per week.
The most appropriate time for doing cardio and aerobic workouts and exercises is in the early mornings. Why is that? The reason is that the level of glucose in your blood and the glycogen in your muscles are very low early in the mornings. Your body temperature and pulse are reduced as well. Thank to this, your metabolism accelerates and you tend to lose fat much faster.
Before you go for a run in the morning you should eat only foods rich in proteins and amino acids, and avoid the consumption of fats and carbohydrates. Remember that you should always warm up before you get into any kind of intense workout.
If you decide you will start your workout while on the treadmill first, then make sure you walk for about 5 minutes on it before you get into any intense running.
How fast, or how intense you should run, bike, and etc? In order to estimate this you should personally do some calculations. Above all we do not want you neither to burn out while working out, nor to be ineffective.
What you need to do is to subtract you age from the number 220 and the result will be your maximum heart rate- (MHR). For example if you are 30 years old, your MHR is 220-30=190. In this case if you are a beginner, you should try to not go over 60% of your MHR, which means that your heart rate pulse should be around 115 while working out.
If during workouts your heart rate gets close to your maximum heart rate, or you go over it, you can easily experience a heart stroke or other heart problems. If you are in shape, or you are used to work out constantly you can go up to 75% of your personal MHR during workouts. Remember, that if you have too low pulse while working out then your practice is not effective enough, but if you have a too high pulse then your cardiovascular system is loaded.

Cardio will help you not only with burning fat and losing weight, but also with making your heart stronger, increasing your lung capacity, reducing the stress in your organism, and feeling better and happier overall.
