It is very normal that in the end of every year you feel tired, powerless, and dream about a sip of fresh air. However, this could easily be changed if you separate, at least an hour every day to work out during the year.

Scientists from University of Bristol, in England, did a study which clearly showed that employees, who work out before going to work, or during lunch breaks, tend to have more power during the whole day. I know that this might sound absurd to many of you and you can tell yourself "Yeah, right, to wake up early in the morning and to go work out? This could never happen, I am tired enough from all the work I have to do during the day." Wrong!

The research showed that working out every morning improves people's mood for days ahead and makes them happier. On the other hand, not being active is what makes you feel miserable and more tired than you actually are. The results from the tests showed that 75% of the people who were constantly working out, could cope better with day-to-day professional and personal tasks than the ones who did not work out as intensively. 72% of them had better communication with their colleagues and friends, and 41% were more motivated and concentrated, and could cope with stress much easily.

It is really important that we do not feel stressed out because stress does affect our health negatively. All these numbers above sound really good, but probably you are telling yourself "My boss would never let me go and work out during my lunch break, this can never happen." From one side you are right. Your boss wants you to work and work until you burn out. Most of the employers do not even realize that sometimes we really need a break. The best option could be that we have fitness centers at work, and that our bosses give us the opportunity to go and work out for an hour during the work day.

Spending some time with your coworkers outside the work place(in the gym for example) would made your relationship even stronger. This is also a great way of office team building exercises, which would not only improve the company's internal communication but would also make you physically stronger. Until our employers realize what is really the best for us and for their companies, we would have to rely only on ourselves.

It is time that we make our lives better. We can start doing that by first adopting healthy eating habits and integrate constant exercising in our lives. Even if you do not have time for longer workouts, a 15 minute walk/run per day would be much better than do nothing at all. You should make your goal that you do a little every day. Step by step you will achieve the results you wish for.
