This is an article about home business residual income. We're going to analyze what that really means, but first let's take a look back at where we've come from.

It hasn't been that long ago that when a person out of high school did the following three steps. First of all they went to college or to a trade school. This took on average two to four years to complete. Upon graduation, they would then go out and find a job with a company using the degree they just earned.

Then they would start to go to work for the next forty years working for that same company with the goal that someday they would retire. It does not work that way anymore.

It is very rare for a person to go to work for company and spend their whole life working for the same company. Companies are bought and sold and people switch jobs everyday. There really is not any loyalty today, on either side.

Today the Internet has changed everything. People are able to start a home business and build that offering products that create what we call residual income. Some people refer to that as a walkaway income. Regardless of what you call it the concept is fantastic.

You really can work at home, sell products on the Internet, and get paid over and over from one sale. But the key for that to work is to find products that are going to be needed over and over that will allow you to get paid every month for doing the work one time.

Network marketing is an industry that really offers an excellent chance for people to start a home business and earn residual income. You build a downline of distributors that in essence go out and work allowing you to earn income on their efforts.

Network marketing is not a new concept, but the number of people that are now being successful at it is. Network marketing used to suffer from a dismal 95% failure rate, but today more and more people are actually becoming successful with a network marketing business using the Internet. This is an excellent way to earn residual income.

The key is to find a network marketing company that offers a product that there's a need for and an interest in. If you can find a product like that then you will be able to retail and also enroll new distributors more easily. Doing this over and building a team of downline distributors will eventually allow you to achieve residual income working at home.

Having a home business residual income is an excellent way to retire quicker and take control of your future. Network marketing is one way to do it.
