As a savvy marketer, you know how important it is to be an early adopter of new technology.

Since 2006, online video has been gaining importance as a useful and effective online marketing tool. If you want to be your industry's #1 expert, you must use online video to promote your products and services.

If you want to sell high priced programs and services, it is vital that your potential clients understand what you can do for them, and how you can help them reach their goals.

One of the fastest and easiest ways to convey this information is with your videos. Video marketing is an important strategy that you should add to your business marketing mix, right now. Most people avoid making videos because they are afraid of the technology, or are worried that their videos won't turn out well. That's not what you should be worrying about. You should be worrying about all the business you're losing by not using videos to market your business.

Having trained thousands of people in the proper use of online video, here are five tips you can use, today, to make your marketing videos better.

1) Use your video marketing to explain your unique system- and be unique in explaining it. Weave in, strategically, your system, stay away from the generic explanations- ones that don't differentiate you from anyone else. You must differentiate yourself and your company for maximum impact.

2) Always try to get people to take a physical action- not just to think about something, but to "write something down" or "make a list" or "make one phone call." Focus on giving them great content and then give them the logical next step.

3) Speak directly to your market so they choose to watch your videos instead of others in the category.

4) Change the tone of your voice- be loud and soft, add in pauses, become more fluid in delivering your message. Get excited, be enthusiastic. Tap into some positive, high energy emotion as you deliver your video. Convey this excitement and emotion in your video.

5) Don't let details or difficulties derail you. Get help or outsource, whatever it takes, but don't let your marketing slide because you don't know how to do something.

If you want to sell your knowledge and information for $10,000, $25,000, $100,000 or more, you must provide great content, a compelling message, and compel your viewers to take the next logical step to do business with your company.
