Gone are the days of posing for minutes for a picture, these days we can take pictures from a hot air balloon or even as we bungee jump, but what are the most memorable pictures we might take?

The joy of taking a photograph is now available to many more people than it once was, with the equipment becoming much cheaper and the technology becoming much more accessible. We can now take all sorts of pictures without particularly having to worry about picture composition and a decent picture will come out. And if doesn't? We can just delete it.

Of course, that's not to say that we can all take pictures of the same quality that a professional would, as their pictures often really stand out and can be spectacular. Here are a few intimate pictures that we can take over the course of our lives that we certainly wouldn't think about deleting.

1. Wedding Photos

Admittedly these pictures are often the ones that we hire a professional to take for us, in order to remember that special day. Many people only marry once, and to have something to remind them of that celebration they could have thousands of pictures taken, capturing friends, family and loved ones enjoying their union.

2. Birth of a Child

It's unusual to take a picture of the actual birth itself, as it's often not the most pleasant thing to depict, however holding a new born in your arms is a massive moment in many parents' lives and this is a shot that is often cherished. Indeed, cards are often sent to friends and family with a picture on the front of a very young child, often only minutes old, to introduce them to the world.

3. That Special Holiday

If you're lucky enough to go on a holiday that you'll remember all your life then you'll certainly want pictures of it. Whether you are walking along the Inca Trail, visiting the pyramids in Egypt or climbing to Everest Base Camp you will want to have the images to cherish. Often the scenes are spectacular, and if you're on holiday with someone close to you then the photographs you take will be something you can look back on together.

4. From A Hot Air Balloon

If you can't take a decent picture from a hot air balloon either it's very foggy or you shouldn't really have a camera. The views are almost always spectacular and it's a lot of fun as well.

As you can see, there are plenty of different things that we can experience that we will want pictures of. Some scenes are spectacular, some are intimate, but all are memorable and all are ones where you would rather have your camera with you.
