When we get engaged it is one of the most important moments of our lives, and for men it is often extremely nerve-wracking as they worry about what the answer will be. Here are a few ways to do it that will help her say "yes".

In A Restaurant

Obviously taking her down to your local McDonalds isn't going to do the trick here, however, if you are keen to make it a romantic evening then often an expensive meal out to a posh restaurant is something that blokes favour, especially if you can share a nice view together over dinner.

There are plenty of ways the chap can do this in the restaurant, from the ultra-cheesy putting the ring in a bottle of champagne or hiding it in her food, to getting down on one knee when there aren't any waiters around and waiting to see what her answer will be.

In A Hot Air Balloon

Proposing in a hot air balloon is a rather imaginative thing to do and you'll have to ensure that you go on an exclusive flight where it is just the two of you flying otherwise the other passengers may feel somewhat awkward!

However, the benefit of proposing in this manner is that a hot air balloon is an extremely romantic location, with the world beneath you and nobody else around for miles other than the pilot. It gives you a lot of privacy and with that a lot of intimacy.

On Holiday

Almost all of us know someone who has proposed while on holiday, and this can be one of the most spectacular ways to do it, assuming once again that is a stunning vacation on which you are going with plenty of cracking views and opportunities.

Part of the build-up to proposing on holiday is that it's rather hard to plan as meticulously as you have few opportunities to scope out the area before popping the question. Also, you have to ensure that your bride-to-be doesn't stumble across the ring in either your luggage or on your person, particularly if you're going through security at an airport.

As you can see there are plenty of ways to propose and plenty of places in which you can do it. Ultimately, how and where you do it is down to you as a couple and what will be intimate and memorable - just make sure she says yes!
