Outdoor Swimming While swimming outdoors in the winter can be a real test and is perhaps only for the truly hardy among us, a trip to an outdoor pool or lido can really be a lot of fun and the water is usually warm enough for it to be pleasant. Of course, you'll need to take you swimming costume, or if you're taking things a bit more seriously a wet-suit and check online when there will be roped-off lanes in the pool so you can train without being interrupted by children. A Hot Air Balloon Ride Going for a ride in a hot air balloon is something you can actually do all year round, however some people find the experience even more enjoyable in the summer when there are less clouds in the sky. Furthermore, because you are so high up, it can become rather cold in the winter and therefore if you don't want to wrap up too much then a trip in a balloon can be a great experience as you see the countryside unfold beneath you in its true majesty. Go For A Picnic Going for a picnic is something that one would really only do in the summer, as sitting outside in the damp and cold while eating isn't always a terribly pleasant experience. However, once the summer comes round you can get out the picnic basket, fill it with treats and take your blanket with you to a local park or even out into the country. It can be a great way to spend time with your children as they have plenty of space to run around in full safety. As a result you can put your trainers on, get out of the house and get in a few miles before returning for a stretch and a nice cool shower.
