I gotta tell you - I'm a huge movie fan. For me there's nothing better than plopping down on the couch with some popcorn and viewing a flick. Lately I've received a number of emails from readers asking where they can go to download movies on the web, so I decided to write a quick article answering this question.

There's plenty of people who have begun to download movies online. The internet has made it so that you don't need to run out to the store to get the latest movie.

The selection of movie downloads online is astounding. You can choose from far more movies on the net than you ever could in a rental store. Whether it's an older movie or a new release, it's almost guaranteed that you can grab it online.

So How can you find movie downloads?

I want to point out where not download movies. You may have heard of download sites like LimeWire or Kazaa. Please stay away from these! There are lots of viruses on these sites and it's simple to get flooded with spyware. Plus, when you search for movies it's easy to download incomplete files and you end up downloading something completely different than what you had hoped for.

Another issue is that the speed of the downloads are extremely slow with these websites. You can literally wait over 24 hours for just one file to finish downloading. Obviously it's frustrating to have to wait that much time just to discover the movie doesn't work!

Another choice is pay-per download movie websites. Here you are charged for each movie you decide to download. Each movie download is usually in the $10 range. However, there are more affordable options out there so I suggest to not use these sites.

Your best bet is to become a member of a website specializing in movie downloads. With these sites you are charged a one-time registration fee (typically $35-$50) and you can then login and download any movie you want. These membership sites are devoted to movie downloads and have a massive selection of movies to select from. It's definitely your best option as you can download as many movies as you want and you won't need to worry about slow download speeds or movies that are faulty.

Downloading movies online is a remarkable way to find your favorite movies without ever needing to go to the movie store. It's less expensive, more convenient and very addictive!
