If you've ever wondered who owned a particular phone number, today we're discussing how you can use a reverse phone lookup to find out exactly who owns any phone number. This is a great tool to have handy that is useful under many circumstances.

You might be getting calls or text messages from a number you don't recognize and want to know who is calling. I've even heard of people using it to find out which phone numbers keep appearing on their spouse's cell phone if they are suspicious they might be cheating. Whatever the reason, they're an easy tool to use.

So how do you get this info? You'll want to use a reverse phone lookup service to get the details you're looking for. There are companies that have put together databases that have information on all phone numbers out there. You visit their website, punch in the phone number, and you'll have complete details on the phone owner (name, address, background info etc).

These databases cost money to maintain since they have to pay to gather information on all the phone numbers. Cell phones aren't listed, so these phone records typically cost the companies a decent amount of money to gather. This then lets you find out information on any phone number - whether it's a cell phone or a landline.

Obviously these companies charge a small fee to run a search. It's not expensive, but they have to charge something since they are paying to maintain the database. you can find some websites that will charge a flat fee for unlimited reverse phone lookups - this is your best option as you will only ever pay once and then be able to do a search whenever you want.

If you want to see if you can get the same information for free, here's a quick trick. Go to Google and punch in the phone number between quotation marks. Hit search and then look at what results come up.

There's a chance the number has been published online before and you might be able to see the owner's information. This won't always work, and the details aren't as complete, but you can still try it out since it doesn't cost anything.

If it doesn't work, you can pay a couple bucks to use a paid search. Here you're sure to get all the details about the owner - it's impressive to see how much you can find out.

Using a reverse telephone number lookup is the perfect way to find out who owns any phone number. Click here to try out a free sample search!
