There are women who are stick thin and miserable, because their eating fears and obsessions weigh heavily on their minds, pull them down and undermine their self confidence. They constantly look for better and easier ways how to lose love handles and weight, and they worry!

On the other hand there are women who are five, ten or more pounds over their ideal weight but who live happy, fulfilling lives, because they aren't obsessing over every little morsel, they simply enjoy life. They don't worry!

Who's having a more fun and fulfilling life?

What I'm saying, is that weight in itself is not an absolute measure. It is very much tied in with how you view yourself .... if you love yourself you will be attractive, happy and radiant even if you are carrying a few pounds over the "ideal" weight.

Yes, that's true even if you have love handles!

Besides, who decides what is ideal, anyway? Look back a few hundred years, say, and look at the paintings done at the time. The women in those would today be considered overweight in our eyes, but back then they were deemed beautiful and sexy! ... and they certainly have both love handles and stomach fat .....

A good, healthy body, is one that has a low ratio of fat to muscle. Women normally have a higher percentage of fat than men (unfair, but true!) due to the different hormones in play in their bodies.

To be long term healthy you should have a low fat percentage, a woman around 25 years of age might have about 25 percent body fat, whilst the same woman at 65 might have more than 45 percent body fat!

If said woman exercises and avoids being a "couch potato" she might well have a much healthier 30 percent even at age 65 ..... and then she probably does not need to get rid of love handles ... because she won't have any!

Since muscle is far more efficient at burning calories, it makes sense to build muscle - then you'll automatically burn more of what you eat - in other words, lose weight.

Plus, of course, muscles look sexier than fat ... and you feel better, you look and feel attractive and sexy!

Fat tissue is very different from muscle tissue. It does not need oxygen, nor does it create activity and it cannot repair itself. All things muscle tissue is capable of. Basically, body fat is as close to "dead flesh" as you can get ... a good reason to minimise your fat percentage and building healthy, living muscle instead.

More muscle means more hormones, meaning healthier skin, increased sex drive and a more vital self. In short you need to build muscle!

Regarding your excess fat the word is: location, location, location! Where you have stored your fat is just as important as how much there is of it. Just about the worst place you can carry fat is right around your middle. Stomach fat and love handles are examples of "bad" location.

If you're lucky to have a slim waist and big hips you're much more likely to live longer and stay healthy. You have lower levels of the "bad" cholesterol, for example.

To become slim and sexy it'll help a lot if you make it clear in your mind what the problem really is. And if you know a little bit about how and where fat accumulates in your body ....
