It seems like it was just the 4th of July the other day.The running here and running there of another Holiday season is here. Most of us are busy running all year and then we ad holiday shopping, parties, making cookies an mailing out cards to all of that.No wonder people get stressed out, during the holiday season.

I was at a Christmas this week, a great place to network and meet new people. You knew sometimes when you hear a good piece of advice you remember. About a month ago I was at a business networking dinner. The woman speaking reinforced something I had forgotten. When were out and when we meet people, there is a reason behind that. We have heard that before, things happen for a reason and we meet people for a reason, the trick is to find the reason.

I have been thinking about that lately. How many times have we causally meet people, talked with them, even exchanged business cards and never talk with them again. As they say, the fortune is in the follow up. I meet several interesting people the Doctor and his wife, the lady moving to Colorado to start a healing center. I also meet an attorney that works in mergers and buy outs.. All of them are good connections for me. I will want to sell my lobster and chicken company someday and buy an island and attorneys are always good to knew. I also know a company that has a liquid mineral product with a fruit called mangosteen. One of the things it helps with is pain and inflammation, this Doctor has patients with pain, and its always better to do something with a natural product.

I'm also an intuitive energy healer. I help people stop walking into the same walls and wondering why. I also like to keep my options open, maybe I will want to go to Colorado to work in her healing center. One of the characters in my book is "Joe the healing hippo." he looks like a monk with a brown robe and a rope belt. He teaches the lobster (that's me) how to trust his feeling and intuition and stop fighting his way through life. All his armor is taken off and piled up on the floor.

Watching people is one of my favorite hobbies. Because its a party people are drinking and having a good time.I have been alcohol free for a few years now.people do silly things sometimes and the coolest part is I will remember most of what happened and they will not. I then get to have fun telling them what happened and hear them say, " I did not do that."

So the bottom line is have fun, but not too much or you will forget to network and make great connections. Practice, practice, practice and you will be ready for the new years parties.
