To sell stacks of eBooks on eBay and make money online you must become a good copywriter. Potential customers need to be informed quite clearly what your eBook is about and most importantly what it will do for them. Remember the customer is always looking for the benefits they will get out of purchasing a product. Never ever forget that the prime thing going through their heads as they contemplate a sale is "What's in it for me?"
If you learn the skills of a good copywriter then your eBook sales will increase. A decent copywriter is one who gets his readers to become purchasers.
First of all, as in all printed media, a top notch headline is essential. This is the hook that entices your reader into the body copy. If the headline is boring, flat or uninspiring then you're beaten before you start. Use punchy short words and always, always be specific. Never say How to Lose Weight but rather How I Lost 30 Pounds In 30 Days. The first example is just far too general whereas the second makes the reader think "I wonder how she did that? I need to find out more." And so the reader reads on to find out more.
It's usually a good idea to add a sub headline just beneath your main headline. This should elaborate on your main headline and draw the reader right into the body copy. A good sub headline for the example I gave above would be something along the lines of "Let Me Show You How You Too Can Get Rid Of Your Excess Weight."
Once you get your excellent headline and sub headlines into place your body copy will follow on almost naturally. It must, of course, live up to the promise of your headline and also be excellent but you will find once you get the knack of writing top notch headlines that you'll quickly become adept at writing good copy.
Secondly, you should offer a guarantee that customers can have a full refund of their money if they find your eBook doesn't live up to your claims for it. Yes, there's a danger that you'll get some people who will get the eBook and say they've deleted it when they haven't but you can lock your eBook if you wish so that it can only be read if they have the right code. If they request a refund you give it to them and block the code.
Personally I don't think it's worth the bother or the expense but if you're interested then just Google "How can I protect my eBook from being copied?" and have a look at the results.
You can offer massive discounts to early buyers of your eBook when you launch a new one by asking for a testimonial when they've read it. Okay, you may even lose money on your first listings but once people can see a number of testimonials on your sales page you'll more than make up for it in the increased sales you'll get.
Finally, all of us love getting something for nothing so it is essential that you offer a bonus, preferably one that compliments the eBook you are selling. The bonus can be one you've written or it may be one you've bought with resell rights. Again if you need some stuff to give away or even sell just Google Private Label Rights and you'll find a ton of stuff in every known market under the sun.
Have fun and make money online by promoting your eBooks on eBay.
