We are a society starved for information, but adults don't use libraries anymore: They turn to Google, punch in a few keywords, and instantly hone in on what they are looking for.

It is BIG business, a multi-billion dollar industry actually, but there's one small catch: To remain on top and to keep customers totally hooked, companies must keep the information unique, interesting, and free-flowing... and that's where the challenge begins.

With thousands of online businesses frantically searching for people (just like you and me) to write articles, reviews, blog content, and sales copy, there just aren't enough writers to go around.

Seasoned professional copywriters don't want this type of work; they prefer larger direct response projects with lucrative commission fees...

...and business owners would rather focus their time and their employees' time elsewhere.

And that's where you come in...

...because, whether you realize it or not, each person has something to contribute — we all have stories to tell, information to explain, and opinions to share. And, as long as you can write at a basic 9th grade level, that's all you really need.

You see, writing today isn't about perfect sentence structure and grammatically correct paragraphs. Readers prefer simple, everyday language; so if you can talk, you can write.

Today, it's ok to start sentences with AND, BUT, or even Hiya... because it's genuine, honest, and part of real life. Readers don't care if you use proper punctuation, most don't know when to use a comma anyway. So as long as the words are easy to read, that's all writers need to worry about.

It sounds simple, because it is! It's a feeding frenzy that's allowing hundreds of everyday people with a passion for writing to make a great living, from the comfort of their own homes.

It's a career that lets moms (and dads) stay at home with their children. It provides the flexibility to take time off when your kids are sick. It lets you sleep in when you've had a lousy night of sleep. And, it connects you with people, products, businesses, and such interesting ideas from all types of people around the world. It's truly fascinating!

Yet, businesses still have a difficult time finding fresh, original content.

It makes no sense to me, because they aren't being picky about the quality they seek — all they require is "average" writing skills.

Understand The Power of Words... You see, content is precious for a couple of reasons. Websites need to be updated almost daily, so they stay fresh and interesting — otherwise, all the money invested in building a clientele is lost.

Did you know that there are over a billion Internet users worldwide? In January 2008, there were 1,319,872,109, yet that only represents 20% of the world's population, and 18% of North Americans.

Furthermore, 88% of adults who purchase products online do some sort of online research — and 67% of U.S. adults who purchase online use search engines as a research tool.

It all boils down to.... WORDS!!! In fact, according to NPD group, 81% of people use search engines to find the information they need. And, businesses that rank in a search engine's top 30 get over 90% of search traffic; those in the top 10 get nearly 80% more traffic than those in positions 11-30 do.

Starting to get the picture?

Search engine marketing is a $5.75 billion industry that will double to $11.1 billion by 2010. And, businesses will invest about $8.3 billion in search engine marketing.

MORE CONTENT = MORE MONEY!!!

And that, my friend, is why writers are in such high demand.

Writing is a need so huge that it's opened the door for people, just like you and me, to earn an insane amount of money — plus have the flexibility to work whenever we want (day or night).
