Western Boots are a very unique style of footwear. Some people absolutely love them. Others prefer other styles of shoes. What is it that makes people wear Western Boots and only Western Boots? Men and women both fall into this. It could possibly be their upbringing. It may be the influence of their parents. I suppose we will never know, but we will look into the qualities of these boots that some may find so attractive.

Western boots are often associated with more than one word or phrase. Some people refer to them as riding boots and others call them cowboy boots. These names originated from the early 1800\'s because cowboys would wear them as they rode their horses. I see slip-on work boots that I would also classify as a western boot. Even though they are not as shiny and fancy, they still have the same style that the original cowboy boots would have.

Some of the Characteristics of Mens Western Boots are a cowhide material and even sometimes exotic skins such as an alligators or a snake. Most Western Boots will have a high heel, possibly a pointed toe, lace free and a high shaft. The prices of these boots can range from $60 and as high as a few hundred dollars. What you purchase will be largely based off of how much money you can spend.

Western Boots have become very popular. This is partly because of the easy slip-on style and possibly from the sexy "daisy duke" image that many girls try to imitate. There a few brands that have designed and constructed Western Boots for both Men and Women. Twisted X is one that is very popular along with Laredo. Womens Western Boots are not much different than Mens. They may be a little flashier but typically you will see shiny metal studs or something along that line.

When purchasing Western Boots I would highly recommend you go into your closest western supplies store and try some on. If you do not get the right size, you will hate every minute of walking in your new boots. Have someone help you so you know what size and width you are. You could even try on a couple of pairs to get an idea of what you might like. You can then go home and compare prices on the internet. The internet will provide boots at a lower cost and more than likely have a larger selection. Since you already tried on your size at the store you will now know what size will be safe when you order on line. This will reduce the need to return your item and in the long run will make your purchase a better one.
