(Excerpt from Jack Funderburk's book, Building a Purposeful Business)

What is Passion when building your new business?

The essence of passion as it relates to a business venture is to find and invest yourself into that which you personally find attractive and believe in with the core of your being.

If you are not sold on the benefits you are providing your customers then don't expect to be "sold out" to building your internet business. Passion causes you to focus and apply the power of concentration to your purposeful intentions.

How Will Passion Affect You

Passion for what you do provides energy and stamina to persevere when the going gets tough. It keeps you from becoming disenchanted or disinterested. A fire in your bosom for what you are doing will propel you when the coals are otherwise fizzling.

When your hopes are dampened by the loss of a contract, or sales are not growing as quickly as anticipated, or there is too much month at the at the end of the money, passion will keep you focused and this focused power of concentration will carry you forward.

How Will It Affect Others

Passion cannot be bought, traded or congealed. It must be real. You will know it and those working with you will recognize it. In much the same way as a man is passionate toward a woman expressed by his willingness to do anything for her, so it is when one is strongly desirous to promote and build success in his profitable internet business that self sacrifice will be the norm.

When you are intent upon bringing value to the world there is no complaining about the economy, the political situation or sorry contractors - excuses are not in the vocabulary of one who truly carries the passion of a mission fueled by a commitment to bring quality value to the marketplace.

One can have a passion for success and/or making money or any number of desires. These are different, though, than your commitment to the value YOU bring to the world. When your passion is for what you do and not for what you will get out of it, then true success can be attained.

Your Business as an Extension of Your Passion

The decision, therefore, of what your business is will be crucial to your success and deserves the investment of research and/or time to know you are totally committed to the value and benefits of the particular business you have chosen and for the value you bring to the table.

So, be sure you understand your business, its products and/or services and what you have to offer the world.

Believe in it wholeheartedly and your passion will fuel your efforts to promote it and build a business around it. Success will be the end result.
