Here are some tips on how to lose weight gradually and systematically over a few weeks and keep it off. Without resorting to fad diets or weight loss pills anyone can lose weight gradually if they really want to. And, of course, that is the key question; do you have the necessary desire and will-power to achieve a target weight? For without it you are bound to fail.

Focus your attention on three significant items and you can succeed gradually to lose weight and, ultimately, to keep it off. Pay attention to some daily exercise, the food you eat and the condition of your tummy and, hey presto, not only will you feel more energetic but you will have lost some weight gradually and you will feel more comfortable in your clothing. Sounds simple, doesn't it? And it is; just add in a little will-power and you are home and hosed with a new svelte figure.

The least attractive lifestyle change for many people is to incorporate some exercise into their daily routine. But really, this is neither difficult nor onerous; in fact, it can be a walk in the park quite literally. If truth be told, a walk in the park for around 30 minutes or so each day for five days each week will really surprise you. For not only will you begin to feel more energetic you will certainly be aware of the pounds falling off you. Added to this, your general well-being will certainly improve.

If you prefer swimming to walking the benefits may be even more pronounced because swimming uses all the major muscles in your body. Even two or three sessions each week will work wonders on your tired old body. Even better, integrate swimming and walking into your weekly routine and you will soon feel as bright as a button; and you will have lost weight as well.

Equally as important as your exercise routine is the food you eat. If you are interested in weight loss, and you must be if you are reading this, you will know the rules. Trash the high calorie fatty junk foods and forget the fancy cakes and biscuits. Instead go for wholegrains, fresh fruit, vegetables and low sugar cereal bars.

Lastly, pay some attention to your tummy; it will pay dividends and get rid of that bloated feeling, the plague of many Western diets. Bloating is often the result of over-eating (remember the smaller plates?), not chewing your food sufficiently, carbonated drinks, fatty foods or even chewing gum. You can help matters enormously by drinking the recommended six to eight glasses of water a day and exercising regularly. Additionally, the probiotic yogurts found in all supermarkets have been found to keep the bowels in a healthy state.

So there it is; a recipe for weight loss, well-being and energy. All you need add is willpower to these tips on how to lose weight!
