Having several friends who have been in law enforcement for years, I have the opportunity to hear loads of great stories. Some are inspirational, others frightening, a few are gross, while many are downright funny.
Recently, while talking to a group of folks about high voltage stun guns and the TASER C2, someone piped in and said, "I bet that thing could knock the poop out of you."
The moment they said that, I remembered a great story about a shakedown that took place a few years back in a Colorado jail.
If you've ever watched any of the reality shows about jail or prison life, you are probably familiar with the term "shakedown." A shakedown is when inmates are removed from their cell and officers check every nook and cranny for items that are not allowed such as drugs and weapons.
Officers at this particular facility suspected that a six foot two inch tall, two hundred and fifty pound defendant was hiding drugs. After a thorough check of his cell revealed nothing, they decided that a body cavity search was in order.
The defendant began to protest. Who wouldn't? I don't believe anyone relishes the thought of a body cavity search. Especially the officers!
Quickly his verbal protest became a violent outburst as the inmate lunged at an officer, grabbed him, began punching, and attempted to take him to the ground.
Another officer quickly deployed his TASER, instantly taking the defendant to the ground as his entire central nervous system short circuited. What could have become a deadly situation was quickly stopped without anyone being hurt.
But the story doesn't end there...
It turns out that after being TASED a body cavity search was no longer needed. The 52,000 volts of electricity coursing through the mans body had caused him to involuntarily empty the contents of his anal cavity into his shorts.
In other words, it literally knocked the poop out of him... Along with three ounces of pot, twenty pills, and traces of methamphetamine all wrapped up in cellophane.
There is a reason why so many law enforcement agencies use TASER products. They have been proven time and again to work great as a non-lethal form of self defense. As an added benefit, you could say that in some cases they even cure constipation. But please... don't try that at home!
All kidding aside, if you are looking for a great self defense tool, I recommend the TASER C2. It has the same takedown power as the police models, but it is smaller, easier to carry, and you can even get it with a laser sight.

More political articles: - Mexico's Heads Of State - First Republic (Robert Nickel)
After Agustine I of Mexico was forcibly ousted from his self-made throne, the Supreme Executive Power took a provisional government role in managing the nation. Yet the six members of the Executive knew they needed to come up with a permanent solution to the problem of who and how would run Mexico. In the end, they configured a system which created the first Republic of Mexico with Guadalupe Victoria as the first President of Mexico in 1824. - The Fall Of Madero (Robert Nickel)
In November 1911, after working to incite the Mexican Revolution and oust the corrupt president Porfirio Diaz, the leader of the revolt, Francisco Madero, was made President of Mexico. Unfortunately, despite having done so much to create sudden change, the man was, at heart, a moderate. Thrust into a role that required much more political expertise than he had, he was doomed to fail. - Francisco Madero's Path to Revolution (Robert Nickel)
In 1911, after thirty-five years of dictatorial rule by president Porfirio Diaz, the Mexican people had had enough. Angry, fed up and bitter at the administration's corruption, they were incited to rise up and revolt after that year's election, when popular newcomer Francisco Madero "lost" the presidential race in a stunningly obvious case of electoral fraud. This was the beginning of the Mexican Revolution... - Gift Giving: The Pet Lover (Claire Dimmit)
If you are being frustrated by trying to find the perfect gift for the animal lover in your life, you should not give up. Here are a few ideas that can spur your imagination enabling you to find the perfect gift. - The Battle Of Puebla And Cinco De Mayo (Robert Nickel)
Why does the United States celebrate every May 5, or Cinco de Mayo? It's only a regional holiday in Mexico, and is often mistaken to be the commemoration of their Independence Day (which is actually in September). The roots of these festivities go back to the French invasion in 1862, and a decisive initial victory against Napoleon III's forces.
