Workplace flexibility is a really great way of providing employees with the necessary resources that they require in order to remain occupied and successful at their place of work and at home.

The helpful effects of flexibility at the workplace is vital because the need for such flexibility is quite great. When workers know that they can perform their work task at a more convenient time, they will put in their best to ensure that they do a great job.

Two thirds to three quarters of the working class population feel that they do not spend quality time with their spouse/partners, kids and themselves. A lot of employees complain of not having enough time to spend with their spouses/partners, their children, themselves or have the time to volunteer at their outreach programs and be a part of the community and so on.

Younger workers may start lowering their career ambitions as a result of insufficient flexibility to manage their work and family/personal life. Young workers who are not "hungry" enough to make a positive change, are nothing but a waste of the company's resources.

Employees feel that flexibility programs can stagnate their career. Employees do not really have enough confidence to fully utilize flexibility options presented to them. Who will want to take advantage of a program that may possibly damage their career ambitions.

Flexibility programs will fail to succeed if not adequately supported by both the management and the daily work processes of the company. In order words, employers will be wasting their time implementing this program without throwing their full weight behind it.

Workplace flexibility is not an answer to replacing other workplace characteristics like learning opportunities, economic security, a tradition of respect and work autonomy. Employers will still need to give their workers respect, economic security and other opportunities to learn and improve themselves.

Business owners who are looking to make the most of workplace flexibility should consider its benefits with having an efficient work environment generally. Translation: when your workers are happy, you are going to be happy as well.

The rewards of a fully functional and adequately supported workplace flexibility program will be an added value to employers:

- Improved employee job satisfaction

- Lower turnover

- Lower insurance expenses - this is because the workers are much healthier

A well planned necessity to keep members of staff and employers working together and living well
