Christmas is just a few weeks away, and networks are starting to air the programmes that everyone loves. As Christmas day draws closer and closer, audiences will continue their shift towards this type of family programming. Everything, including classics and contemporary films, is being aired by television networks. This makes for great entertainment, but it also brings up conflicts.

Instead of having to be at home where their cable or satellite box is, a viewer can pull up movies and shows on his or her smartphone or other portable device. By not forcing a viewer to be at home to watch it, mobile video is a more versatile platform than traditional television services.
By combining these two things and bringing video on demand to a mobile platform, audiences this year will not have to miss any television if they don't want to. Having access to video on demand from anywhere means no more flipping between shows and having to miss parts of what they're watching. It's a much better and more streamlined solution than using a DVR. A DVR requires a person to remember to schedule recordings and delete older ones to make room for new ones. DVR also forces viewers to be at home to watch movies and shows they've recorded.
Mobile video on demand removes these restrictions, and that's why millions will find it to be so useful this holiday season. So many people love holiday programming, but in the past they only got to watch part of it. Thanks to mobile platforms now supporting video on demand, those days are gone for good. The stress of people trying to watch their favourite Christmas TV despite scheduling conflicts has been done away with.
