When the weather turns cooler, nothing beats a pair of cosy yet stylish UGG boots. These boots are famous worldwide and are often found gracing the feet of celebrities. The creation of UGG boots began in Byron Bay, Australia when surfers searched for something to keep their feet warm while on land. They discovered 'footies' that were created by hand utilising sheepskin. The footies were warm, comfortable and able to wick away moisture in order to keep their feet dry.

In 1978, Brian Smith brought sheepskin boots to southern California and founded the UGG empire.
Throughout the years, UGG has expanded its product line to include casual footwear, slippers, handbags and apparel. Boots are still the main focus of UGG, and are now available in a large variety of styles, colours and materials. There are specific UGGs tailored to women, men and children which are offered in a number of different sizes. The women's boot category is divided into five sub-categories including: classic, fashion, knit, casual and weather/performance.

Casual UGG boots can be vibrant, sparkly and shiny or have a more natural, muted look. The classic style tends to be a pull-on, heelless boot which varies in height, colour and material. All the classic boots contain genuine sheepskin covering a soft foam insole. They have a flexible, lightweight EVA outsole. Classic boot heights can be mini, short or tall. Mini boots rise to just above the ankle, while short boots reach mid-calf. Tall boots can be knee height or higher. Women's Classic Short Sparkles boots are bound with satin and covered with sequins. More vibrant and brighter colours are offered for these sparkly boots such as neon orange and neon hot pink in addition to the more traditional black and silver.

When fashion is your primary goal, UGG offers a number of very fashionable yet comfortable boot options. These boots vary according to the materials they are constructed with. Knit, leather, nubuck, shearling, suede and twintone are some of the materials used to create these boots. Knit boots can consist of a twisted, cotton cable-knit or a cable-knit Merino wool. They can be made of a heathered Merino wool blend or a lambswool-nylon-cashmere blend.

Different types of heels are available for fashion-conscious consumers. Some boots offer a 3 ½ inch stacked, leather-wrapped midsole in a wedge. Clogs are another purchase option with 4 inch bass wood outsoles and rubber traction on the bottoms. UGG boots can be found with buttons, rivets or nail-head accents. Lace-up boots tend to be made for extreme weather and performance, with waterproof leather uppers and excellent traction. Some boots even have removable insoles so you can replace them if needed.

UGG boots offer both style and comfort in one amazing pair of boots. There is an UGG boot to match any desire or need you may have as they vary according to materials, colours and styles. They are luxurious boots with a casual flair and always paradise for your feet.
