An illness that causes pain, nerve stress, muscle weakness, premature aging and disease and overall body malfunction can be attended to by the system termed chiropractic, which is a system of therapy based upon the premise that the disease is caused by interference with nerve function; a method being used to restore the body to normal condition by adjusting the segments of the spinal column. Misalignment in the spinal column can restrict with the flow of energy needed to support health.

It is a procedure done to alleviate pain and headaches, and a health care approach that mainly focused on the relationship between the body's structure and the body's functions. Working specifically on the spine, practitioners are using variety of approaches with the objective of correcting alignment problems and encouraging the body's natural ability to heal by itself.

Chiropractic is the term that derived from the Greek words 'chir' which is interpreted the 'hand' and 'praxis' which means 'action' and thus properly describe to as the treatment done by hand or hands-on treatment. It is now considered one of the Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in the United States.

Some procedures are traceable even back to the ancient times. This procedure has three key concepts: (1) the body has the potential and ability to heal by itself; (2) the structure of the body, particularly the spinal column and the body's functions are closely intertwined and that the relationship is affecting the overall health; and (3) the treatment has the goal of rectifying this relationship between the structure and the function enabling the body to function normally and that is to heal by itself.

Research reveals that the practice of chiropractic gets injured workers that are suffering pain and return to work faster with greater patient satisfaction at low cost and without using drugs and even surgery. In a 2004 North Carolina study on about 96,627 workers' compensation cases for the skeletal injuries and the average treatment cost, the hospitalization and compensation payments was higher for patients who visited medical doctors than for those who saw doctors of chiropractic. Significantly, the chiropractic patients lost less days from work than the medical patients. This also reflected on other studies done. Satisfied patients of chiropractic are probably higher today.

Accidents while on the job happen and chiropractic is not against the necessary medical care. During emergency situations all must be done in order to save lives and limbs. But most, if not all, patients leave the hospital with as much spinal column damage as when they entered the emergency room. Even after the best medical care patients often suffer pain, weakness and disability for months, and even years. They were medically advised to take painkillers, muscle relaxants or even to have surgery.

Pain in the neck, shoulders, extremities, back and the face are some conditions that may be included in the complaints of the patients. Others like dizziness, memory problem, depressions, anxiety, headache, hearing and vision problems, weakness, urinary tract infections can also be felt.

Anyone who has met an accident or trauma should see a chiropractor to have their spinal column checked for nerve pressure caused by vertebral subluxation and get chiropractic adjustment.

Anyone who has met any sort of accident or injury should see a chiropractor to have their spine looked at for nerve pressure caused by vertebral subluxation and get chiropractic correction.
