What's the right number of calories needed to lose weight?

If you believe the answer is "less" than you're currently eating, then this article will be a real eye-opener.

Here's why. In this article I will show you that the amount of calories you need to lose weight is probably far greater than you're currently eating!

In general, most people believe they simply need to eat less and they will get thinner.

But as weird as it may sound... this is often the WORST possible thing you can do!

There is a very specific reason why.

You see, most people are not fat just because they eat too many calories. In fact, there are many overweight people that only eat a few small meals per day and still can't seem to lose weight. (You probably know some people like that.)

Well, there is an unbelievable reason for this.

Would it surprise you to know that your body actually needs calories to burn calories?

That in many cases, the amount of calories needed to lose weight is far greater than you are currently eating?

That limiting calories is killing your results?

Well it's the truth.

Shockingly enough... many studies have shown that when you constantly go hungry it triggers your body's "fat store" mode. This causes your body to cling to any extra food you eat. It makes losing weight a real pain.

This is why most of those people who constantly count calories, skip meals and starve themselves tend to get really horrible fat deposits. This dieting type stuff will always backfire.

But there is a simple solution.

Losing weight is NOT a matter of getting the correct amount of calories. It is the TYPE of calories you consume that is by far the most important thing.

Here's what I mean. There are either good or bad calories. Good calories are ones that are highly nutrient dense. Things like fruits, grains and vegetables. Bad calories contain virtually no nutritional value. Things like white bread, refined pasta, soda... basically, foods that contain a lot of sugar, additives and preservatives. These calories will be stored as fat.

People who spend all of their time obsessed with the "right number of calories needed to lose weight" often lose sight of this. They can count calories all they want, but if they continue to eat the bad ones, they will stay fat.

In general...

If you spent the next month eating 2000 bad calories each day you'd get fat. It is virtually guaranteed.

If you spent that same month eating 2000 good calories each day, then you'd most likely lose weight. A lot of it!

Now there are a few little tricks involved here. Like learning when to eat certain foods at the correct times. But in general, if your body is getting nothing but good calories then it wants to release body fat.

So how can you use this information?

Actually, it's very simple.

You need to STOP focusing on getting the correct number of calories and place all your attention on eating the right TYPE. This means, you can stop calorie counting, checking fat grams and all of that "dieting" stuff. It's mostly a gimmick!

Always remember... type trumps amount... period!
