I still like email marketing. It wasn't until this year that I really understood the value of having a mailing list. Sure I have heard you must have a list and the money is in the list and so on. Here is what I have discovered after 5 years of doing Internet marketing. Building a good list takes time. You do it one subscriber at a time. To do that you have to work at it. Nothing will beat getting traffic to a website and capturing contact info for future follow up. After you get a list going how you handle it is important to. I see people build a list and then ignore it which makes no sense to me, and then I see just the opposite. People mail so often they drive their list away. What a shame. You do need to send email on a consistent basis, but what you email counts to. Offering things of value that a person would appreciate will build your credibility over time. This is important if you want a long term list you can go to when you really need it. This is where private label rights can really be helpful. There are so many free reports, plr articles, software, and ebooks, that you can give away and feel good doing it. Your list can take these plr products and make money with them.
