Are You Cut Out To Be A Full Time Internet Marketer?

I have been a full time Internet marketer since 2006. Prior to that I was a part time Internet marketer for 4 years. I am fully convinced that not everyone is cut out to be a full time Internet marketer. Let's look at this a little closer.

My goal was to quit my job and make money online from the comfort of my own home. As I began to understand Internet marketing more it dawned on me that an Internet business could be worked anywhere in the world where there was Internet access.

There are certainly some problems that come up when you talk about being a full-time Internet marketer. No matter where you work your business you are going to have to be focused on sitting down and actually going to work.

Forget about the dreams of earning so much money that you can work one hour a day in your underwear. This is possible, but it's not going to happen overnight.

What I'm talking about is analyzing where you are at right now in your life, and what would it take to get to the point you could do Internet marketing full time. The real problem starts with time management.

Anyone who works a full time job, has a family, outside interests, and so on, is going to find it difficult to build an Internet business. I think it's safe to say that nobody has ever achieved full time success online without sacrificing something.

In my case I would get up at 4:00 a.m. and work for three hours before I went to my full time job. I would also work some late at night after we got home from our kids sporting events.

This is what I call a sacrifice. You need a goal that is so worthwhile to you that you are willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

Going beyond goal setting and motivation, you will need Internet marketing skills. In some ways it is getting easier to build an Internet business because of all of the great tools such as autoresponders, blogs, and social networking.

In other ways it is getting more difficult to build a full time Internet business because of all of the competition. Not only all of the websites that are online, but the competition in getting traffic to those websites.

One of the best Internet marketing skills you can learn is how to generate traffic to a website. Once you master this skill you can use it to create as much Internet income as you want. This could be article marketing, paid traffic, or something else.

The real question of whether you are cut out to be a full time Internet marketer will come down to your motivation, and your ability to master Internet marketing skills.
