To me this is one of the most common problems Internet marketing newbies face. It's not easy to focus on one thing at a time when there is so much to do when you first start out. One of the best things I did when I first started was to focus on one form of marketing online. Back in 2002 it was easy to purchase bulk opt in leads to build your mailing list with. I used to purchase 10,000 leads at the time and import them into my autoresponder. I would then follow up with these people building relationships and offering affiliate products. This was one of the reasons I was able to make money from the very beginning. That isn't necessarily the case for people who get started today. I like to refer people to the Warrior Forum. This can be a good source of free Internet marketing information. However, there is a downside to hanging out in a forum such as this. There are so many people giving advice on how to make money that you're not sure what to believe. The Warrior Special Offers Forum is a good example. There are many sharp people offering inexpensive reports on making money. Be careful because it is very easy to get sucked into buying these almost every day. This can be a real problem when you are brand new because you never get time to focus on actually making money with one of these excellent ways. As soon as you find something that appeals to you I suggest you stick with it. It is possible to develop multiple streams of income on the Internet, but to do that you need to earn your first income stream before taking on a second one. You would think this common sense, but in reality many Internet marketing newbies do not follow this advice. Even when you choose one way to make money online you are going to face obstacles. This is true even if you are following a blueprint for success. Anything that you look at from a step-by-step standpoint is still open to interpretation to a certain extent. There are so many ways to promote things online that if I was to say do article marketing you would still have to write and submit your articles. The way you go about doing that might be different than me. So it will be important that you choose a way to make money online and then get started. Stay focused on your goal and as obstacles come up deal with them until you are making money. Only then should you move on to developing another income stream.
