As somebody who writes professionally I sometimes question whether I should offer tips on becoming a better article writer or not. What I have found is many people can improve their writing style with a little bit of effort. The ones who do not want to get better will end up hiring an article writing service which is fine by me!

Let's talk about a few steps you can take to become a better article writer.

1. Understand your audience. One of the reasons I am such a big fan of niche marketing is how it helps all of us understand our audience better.

This certainly will help you write better articles. Try to see things through the eyes of your reader and write something they would enjoy and benefit from.

2. Short paragraphs. On the Internet people read differently than they do in a book or a newspaper.

This is kind of a pet peeve of mine and I even have a hard time getting my own personal article writers to do a good job of this. Here's a simple way to remember it!

A paragrpah should be no more than three short sentences or two long ones. You may need to go back and break long sentences into shorter ones. You may even need to separate paragraphs out.

3. Practice makes perfect. Have you ever wondered why somebody like Tiger Woods spends so much time practicing each week?

The same thing applies to becoming a better article writer. The more you do it the better you are going to become at it.

One thing that is helpful is to sit down and write a large volume of articles at one time. You will find you can get into a rhythm and crank more articles out when you do it this way as opposed to writing one or two at a time.

4. Blog marketing. Most article directories want articles that are 400 words or more.

Sometimes that can be a real chore. You can still benefit from article marketing and become a better article writer by sitting down and writing short blog articles.

These only need to be 150 to 200 words so they're easier to complete. This will also help you practice when you're writing short articles like this.

Be sure and use a service such as Only Wire to submit your blog post into social directories once you have published it. This will help increase the number of readers your blog gets.

These are a few steps you can take to become a better article writer.
