Domain Name Tips On Redirecting Your URL

One thing that works well is buying a domain name and re-rdirecting it to your website or landing page. I use Go Daddy to buy my domain names, but there are many good places to buy domain names.

Redirecting a domain name name is a good strategy if you do not want to promote the URL that comes with some products and programs. This is especially true for affiliate marketing, network marketing, and other make money from home opportunities.

For example, if you joined the ClickBank affiliate program to promote an ebook on stop sweating you could buy a domain name with those words in it. StopSweating.com will not be avilable. Sometimes you can get a .net or a .org version of your desired domian name.

Longer domain names are easier to find. Stopsweatingnow.org is available as I type this. Stopsweatingnowtips.com is available as well.

I use Traffic Travis to find a list of possible keywords to use. This is a free program you can join and use to develop keyword lists. Google Adwords also offers a free site to find what words people are searching for on Google.

The thing I like about traffic Travis is they deliver results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Your goal is to find a keyword phrase that is getting a decent amount of traffic you can use for the domain name you are going to purchase.

When you start searching for available domain names you will be able to see which ones are available and which ones are not. All you do is play around with it until you come up with the variation than will suit your purposes.

Once you have your domain name bought re-direct it to your ClickBank hop link url. This is very easy to do and ClickBank will do that for you once you paste in your ClickBank url.

This could take a day or two to complete, but I have found it usually only takes a few mintues or hours depending how busy GoDaddy is. They will email you that your request has been completed.

Now you can start promoting your new domain name. This looks more professional and will catch the eye of a reader better too!

If you are doing email marketing you can insert the domain name right into the body of the email. The same thing for other forms of online marketing including article marketing, video marketing, and social networking.

When you do this strategy you do not need to build your own new website or blog. You can just start promoting your new domain name which allows you to get going faster! One of the best ways to make money is promoting a good domain name.
