There is something magical about the thought of earning over $100,000 a year on the Internet. That was a personal goal of mine when I first started online several years ago, and I am not the only one that feels this way.

When you look at various webpages promoting online home business opportunities the words six-figure income shows up on many of them. Professional copy writers understand the allure of earning this amount of money.

The real question is whether it is possible for you or not?

The possibilities are certainly there for anyone to make this kind of money. The Internet does not discriminate in terms of who can be successful and who cannot.

I have seen people who currently make excellent money offline invest some of that to build a six figure income. I've also seen people who start with virtually nothing and over time develop a six figure income.

Eventually making over $100,000 a year is going to come down to a couple of main points.

1. Skills.

2. Effort.

None of us are born with Internet marketing skills. However, if you possess average intelligence you can learn everything you need to make as much money as you want online.

Effort is definitely one thing that separates the winners from the losers. Plan on working as hard or harder than you ever have in your life to make this kind of money. I have found it's never as easy as it sounds and many people give up before they ever hit their goals.

It's very easy to join a program online that promises you unfound wealth. Unfortunately that is a problem for many people.

For example, you can start as an affiliate marketer without investing anything. You can join a network marketing business for under $100.

You can join discussion forums such as the Warrior Forum and find all different kinds of ways to make money online without spending more than $10. The Warrior Special Offers section is packed with many ways to make money you have never heard of.

I would like to offer you a few important tips.

1. Set personal goals. Know exactly how much money you want to make and why you want to do it. Write these down and read them every day and they will become a part of you.

2. Become educated on how to make money online. This is where the skill part of Internet marketing comes in. It can be complicated, but if you stay focused on learning it is something you can pick up.

3. Don't quit. I love the saying winners never quit and quitters never win. You are going to have to invest time and possibly money.

However, in the long run if you focus on your goals, and put in the effort, you can become a six-figure income earner.
