Do you have chickens at home or plan on getting them in the near future? Then it is a smart idea for you to learn the reasons why hen houses are so imperative for you to have before you get your chickens.

One reason is because the chickens have to have shelter to help keep them safe. The elements are a danger to a chicken due to their small size.

There are also many predators that can harm your chickens. You need to have safe housing for your chickens to keep them well protected from both of these dangers.

If you do not have good housing, then do not be surprised if something happens to your chickens.

Another reason is so chickens can roost. Poultry has to sleep, eat and be safe just like every other living animal and human does.

In order for your chickens to remain healthy, you have to give them safe and sturdy housing in order for them to roost because this is what comes naturally to them.

Plus, if you have the right sized chicken coop they will be able to move around freely and not be in danger at any time of the day or night.

A third reason is so the chickens can lay their eggs. This is something that chickens do naturally and you have to be the one to provide them with a safe area to do this in.

This will help you because you can use the eggs for your own family, sell the eggs, give them away to help others or whatever you want to do with them.

Chickens lay a lot of eggs in a year and by providing them good, safe housing you will be making sure they can do this without feeling threatened by anything in any way.

One last reason a chicken coop is so vital to have is so you can raise as many chickens as you wish to. Anyone that is living on a farm will have more freedom to raise as many as you want because you have the right area for raising chickens.

There are people these days that live in the city and want to raise chickens. If you do not have good housing for them, then you may not even be able to raise one chicken, let alone many more.

No city will let chickens roam free and the only way to be sure you can raise them in the city and keep them well protected is by providing them with their own little housing area where they can stay all the time.

These are the top reasons that hen houses are so imperative to have for any person that has chickens at home. You have to make sure the chickens are well taken care of and kept healthy and safe so you do not waste your time or money raising them on your own.
