It is always amazing to me how many people will not write articles to build their Internet business. There are numerous reasons for this and in this article we will zero in on four of the primary ones.

1. Most people do not think they can write. They think there is some magical skill they do not possess.

In reality if you can talk you can probably learn to write useful Internet articles. These can be articles you use to promote your business through article directories. They can also be shorter articles that you post on your blog.

As a matter of fact a simple thing you can do is go to Blogger.com and start a blog on something that interests you. Then spend time writing 200 to 300 word articles until you get good at it. You will find writing articles online is not that difficult and can actually be fun.

2. They do not have a system for writing. Having a simple system does take some pressure off of writing articles.

A simple system is to write numbered list articles. You start your article off with a short introduction announcing what you are going to write about.

You then create a list of three or four points relating to the theme of your article. You wrap up the article by summarizing what you have written about in another short 2-3 sentences. Anyone can do this with a little bit of practice.

3. Some people are just too busy. As the Internet continues to mature there are people coming online who are extremely busy.

They want to market their internet business in multiple ways including article marketing. These Internet marketers are better off to hire freelance writers for them. This way they can still drive traffic from article directories and their blog and not worry about taking time to write articles.

4. They do not really understand the long term benefits. There is no doubt if an Internet marketer understood how much traffic can come from articles they would take the time to learn how to do it correctly.

An article you submit to a directory could continue to bring you traffic several years from now. That really is the number one long term benefit. This is free traffic that continues to benefit your business over and over on a well written article.

In summary I still maintain that anyone can write articles to promote their business. Whether you do it through article directories or blogging the benefits of writing Internet articles are too many to ignore.
