The Skinny on the Newest (and Darkest)

By far the newest (and darkest), as of this writing, is a new novel by James Luceno that journeys into the dark underbelly of sith history. Luceno has numerous Stars Wars novels ranging from Star Wars: Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader to the Agents of Chaos Trilogy.

"Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? It's a Sith legend…He had such knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the [midi-chlorians] he cared about from dying." Uttered by Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith, Luceno's new book journeys down the dark road of ancient sith myths to shine light on a new mystery. Luceno himself has a legendary place in Star Wars mythology having been around the Star Wars story block many times, so this new endeavor will prove to be revealing for old and new fans alike.

Young Readers

When the movies originally came out in 1978, people went goofy for the Star Wars Galaxy, but the interesting thing is that the current generation is grasping onto the Star Wars fascination and connecting up with the mythos, as well. If you are a Star Wars addict or even if you aren't, your kids may be caught up in the story and Star Wars audio books are a good way for younger kids to get a different sensual dose of the Star Wars universe. Children learn in different ways, but one thing for sure is that all kids love to have books read to them. Pick up on this enthusiasm and hook them up with some audio books that are abridged and that are dosed up with catchy sound effects to keep their attention perked up.

Narrators

The audio book experience is not perfect. A voice is very important when it comes to investing time in in auditory expedition. With Star Wars audio books there are a number of readers that have caught on in popularity, including Jonathan Davis, who have sparked rapport with the legions of fans that listen. Experiment to find narrators that really connect with your ear.
