There is a lot that goes into making the perfect cup of tea. There are many steps that you do not see that happen before that final bag of tea is purchased by yourself at the store. Years and years of creating and refining methods of tea production and blending have occurred. To some, tea making and brewing is a great art form. To others it is just a quick cup of tea. Whatever your feelings are, we all enjoy tea for the same reasons; it is refreshing and delightful in taste and aroma. Some companies have taken traditional tea making further by adding various spices and herbs to their tea products in order to create unique blends with various other health benefits. Companies like Tazo Tea make a wide range of herbal blends. The Yogi Tea company also makes many tea blends with other herbs, and are known for their quality and innovation.

Tazo Tea was started by Steve Smith in 1994. He had been in the tea industry for over thirty years and decided to start his own company. Using historical recipes and his incredible knowledge of tea, he created a company that makes imaginative flavors along with traditional ones. Tazo Tea now has over eighty different flavors that they sell. They try to make distinctive flavors and use premium quality tea leaves.

Tazo Tea is dedicated to finding quality ingredients. They employ tea buyers who travel around the world to find and purchase a high quality product. During the growing season, the buyers often go directly to the different farms to hand select products. These employees sometimes evaluate thousands of samples to find the best tea. Only about one out of ten teas tasted make the cut into the final products and blends.

Green tea, black tea, and many herbal infusion teas are available from Tazo Tea. One popular herbal tea is their variety called African red bush. It has a clean flavor that is paired with hibiscus for tartness and a little lemon and rosemary. It is rich and bold in flavor. Ingredients include African rooibos, hibiscus, orange peel, lemon verbena, lemon balm, and rosemary. Another refreshing variety is the Tazo Tea calm blend. It contains chamomile, spearmint, lemongrass, hibiscus, peppermint, rose petals, blackberry leaves, and other flavors. It has a distinct taste that is natural and light. These are just two of the many blends that they offer. Each flavor has its own great qualities with handpicked ingredients.
