The best hotels in London are at the core of central areas of West End, Belgravia, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Kensington and Mayfair. One of the top luxury London hotels is Hotel 41. This is part of the Red Carnation group and is a five star boutique hotel five minutes from Victoria Station. It is close to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, the London Aquarium and London Eye.

Hotel 41 has thirty individual suites and rooms all dressed in a stylish black and white with mahogany furniture and working open fireplaces. The rooms have interactive televisions and on demand movies, iPod-docking stations, high-speed Internet connection, printer/fax machine/copier, radio and CD player. Finishing touches include snack, treats, scented candles, fresh fruit and flowers, ladies and gents slippers.

This hotel is different from many others of its size in so many ways. There is even a concierge for your pets, as well as two staff to attend to each guest and your very own personal assistant during the day, a lounge for residents only and the opportunity to sleep under the stars in the master suite, which has a glass roof. No need to get up early at the weekends either, as breakfast is served until 1pm.

Another of the best hotels in London is the Soho Hotel, which can be found in the heart of London's entertainment area, yet situated in a quiet street. It has ninety-one apartments, bedrooms and suites all designed differently. It has several private event rooms, two state of the art screening rooms, and fully equipped gym with personal trainer, private dining room, bars and restaurant and several areas where you can just sit and relax.

The Soho Hotel is fully air-conditioned and also has a concierge, twenty-four hour room service, guest drawing room, valet, body and beauty treatment rooms and DVD library.

When you read the address 22 Jermyn Street, you don't automatically link this to one of the best hotels in London. However it is a premium luxury town house hotel situated in fashionable St James's. It is an elegant, yet inconspicuous base for tourists to explore London and for the business traveller. The service is beyond comparison, the rooms are ultimate luxury and it has world-class hotel amenities, which has led to them winning, "Hotel Of The Year" many times.

The 5 star historic Cadogan Hotel in Sloane Square; Chelsea is near the Kings Road. It is a charming Edwardian townhouse with sixty-five suites and rooms that are timelessly elegant. The hotel is one of the best hotels in London and offers conventional British hospitality. Signature suites include the romantic Lillie Langtree, historic Oscar Wilde and the regal Edward VII.

Other excellent 5 star hotels well worth consideration include the Andaz London in the city, Baglioni Hotel in Kensington, Beaufort House in Kensington, Bentley Hotel in Earls Court, Blakes Hotel in South Kensington, Browns Hotel in Mayfair and the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, just to name a few of the best hotels in London.
