The beaches of the Mayan Riviera beckon to travelers, especially during winter. While in the north it may be cold and wet, in the south it is the land of eternal summer. Winter is the dry season in Mexico, which means every day is full of sunshine, there are fewer bugs (no rain = no bugs!) and everyone is in full-on vacation mode. Exploring the Mayan Riviera with an RV caravan has become even easier in the past year due to the new four-lane highway that now connects Cancun to Chetumal. There are plenty of restaurants to stop at along the way as well as cenotes (natural spring water swimming pools that dot the landscape in the Yucatan peninsula).
