You feel like it is time to clean your body and organs using a detox diet. If used properly a detox diet will clean up your liver, as well as remove toxins, chemicals and other compounds and flush them from your system.

The people who thought this detoxification diet back up their beliefs by the fact that your liver gets congested with impurities over a period of years and therefore will function much better after a good cleaning or flushing.

If you decide you are going to try this diet you really need to know the guidelines. Since this is a detox diet you need to remember your goal is to eliminate bad toxins from your body.

So you need to resist taking any alcohol, caffeine and nicotine into your body while on the diet. You also need to drink natural fruit juices and purified water at all times while on the diet. It would be good also if you talked with your doctor before the undertaking of this diet.
