It helps if you read various pressure cooker reviews before you decide which one you would like to purchase. With all of the choices that you have out there, it can sometimes be difficult to determine which one is going to be the best to suit your cooking needs. Reading reviews will help you to learn more about each individual cooker so that you will have an easier time deciding between all of the choices.

One particular item that is getting a lot of positive reviews is the Fagor pressure cooker set. The set is designed for your stove top, and is constructed from stainless steel. The handles are both ergonomic and heat resistant, and when you can use the tempered glass lid on the occasions where you want to use the 4 quart piece as a saucepan rather than a cooker. All of the pots can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher, and you can keep the exterior looking brand new with just an occasional polish.

Another thing that customers like is the steamer basket that comes with it. It's perfect for when you need to drain pasta, and it also includes a trivet. Additionally, you can take comfort in knowing that Fagor only uses manufacturing processes that are energy efficient and good for the environment.

People love the design of the handles, and say that they make the cooker very easy to lift. There is also an easily operated dial mechanism, and all of the cooker's functions are right there on the handle so that it is much easier to operate. A great safety feature is the way that the cooker will not function unless the lid is on the right way. Plus, there is a function that makes the handle lock until the cooker is depressurized, so you don't have to worry about any steam getting released on accident. You can clearly see each of the different settings, because the dial is clearly marked. Plus, you have the option of choosing whether you want to release the steam quickly with the valve, or if you would rather let the pressure naturally drop on its own.

Customers report that they have been able to reduce their cooking time to a third of what it was with other methods. Some things can be cooked even faster than that. You do need to avoid using any kind of abrasive cleaning materials on this cooker, and if you are having a hard time cleaning it you can try using water with half of a lemon, and bring it to a boil.

Even though this is one of the least expensive cookers on the market, it still has most of the same features as the more expensive brands. One thing that you should be aware of before purchasing is that you only get one lid for pressure cooking, so you will not have the ability to use both pots simultaneously for pressure cooking. However, there have been a great deal of pressure cooker reviews from long term owners who report that this cooker has been extremely durable, and say that they have been very pleased with their purchase.
