Maca root is often referred to as the 'Peruvian ginseng", even though it has no relationship. It was used by the Inca to increase stamina, strength, energy,libido and sexual health. Legend has it that during the height of the Inca Empire warriors would be given maca to make them stronger and fiercer in battle. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic found that 25% of men over 40 have some types of concern over sexual performance. Some of the more common concerns are the ability to have an erection, changes in sex drive, satisfaction with activity and changes in performance over last year. These are areas where maca can play an important role in helping to correct.
