The money is in the list - How does anyone, especially a "newbie" marketer generate traffic to start his own list? The internet has changed drastically in the last 5 years and it makes it harder to compete for traffic especially when you are a newbie. I mean, they talk about SEO (search engine optimization), google ads, safelists, email advertising. All these cost money.

First, SEO - It is impossible to get a new site ranked high in the search engines... especially Google! Now I'm not saying it can't be done, but just think about what and who you're up against. For starts, there are literally millions of quality "authority sites" covering virtually every market and topic under the sun already indexed in the major search engines. So to get your site ranked in the top 10, you need to beat out all these other sites, and then how long will it last before someone boots you out of the top 10 list?

The problem for you is that these sites have:
More inbound links
Higher Page Rank
Longer Search Engine awareness that have proven their worth

I hate to tell you this, but if you want to compete against these folks you will definitely have to put on your combat fatigues. Sure, there are some tricky tactics you can try to force your sites into the Top 10, but you face being banned.

When it all comes down to it, Google and the other search engines would much rather give high rankings to very specific pages sitting on known "Authority Sites" than index and rank a brand-new-site... no matter how "optimized" it may be.

That may not seem fair, but try to see it from the Search engine's eyes: They want sites that are content- rich and here for the long-term. What they DON'T want are "content sites" that have just been thrown together for the purposes of earning AdSense revenue. They're sick and tired of all the spam and garbage sites, and with MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of pages actively indexed in their engines, they really don't need to let anyone and everyone in.

That is why Google implemented a "sandbox" ( they will not admit to such ideas) some years ago that all new sites have to sit in and "mature" before they're allowed to join the party.

The search engines do not need us as much as we need them, and so they're making it harder and harder for the "new guys" to join the club. Most SEO "gurus" will not admit it. They are still confident in their abilities to get new sites indexed overnight just like they could back in 2002. Well folks, save your money, things have changed and it is now time to wise up or die trying to play by old outdated rules that millions of newbies are suckered in to play. From everything I've seen, the days of tricking the search engines are coming to an end. Yes, new tactics will pop-up from time to time, but they will always continue to deliver short term results.

IF you want to experience long-term success and rake in free search engine traffic for years to come even in highly competitive markets, you will need to adjust your SEO stategies.

So, what is the "BIG SECRET" I promised at the start of this section?

It's simple: DON'T TRY TO BEAT THESE "AUTHORITY SITES"... JOIN THEM!

Why re-invent the wheel when you have the keys to the Ferrari?

Keys To Your Ferrari

When it comes to SEO, most marketers are swimming upstream. Rather than tapping into these available "Authority Sites" they instead try to create authority sites of their own. Not only is this task incredibly difficult, it is virtually impossible without a considerable investment in time and money.

For that reason alone, your mission should NOT be to create full-blown Authority Sites of your own... it should be to tap into as many known (and available) Authority Sites as possible.

This is what is called "PiggyBack Traffic"...
