When you are running late and getting ready to start driving for business is not the time you want to find that you're missing your mileage log. Finding yourself in that situation usually means grabbing a piece of paper and writing down the information you need. Having your tools for keeping this information may be easier for you if it is always in the same place. When you are driving for your job they usually supply record keeping tools however placing it where you need it is up to you so you have it right at your fingertips. When you are keeping track for personal use or your own business use having it placed as conveniently as possible may keep you from having to search all over for it.

There are many drivers who keep all their information in their own book and as long as they have the book they know where every thing else is. That makes it easy to know everything you need to have detailed information is all together, but where should you keep your book? Sometimes they will fit in the glove box but you may forget that it is in there. There are many who choose to put it in the middle of the 2 seats or they have a bag that they place on the passenger side floor or seat so that they can still see it without it falling everywhere.

Other people may choose to keep their mileage log in their pocket or their purse. Now some wouldn't think of one of these products being in a purse but think about it. Keeping track of mileage is for everyone not just drivers; it's for business professionals, health care professionals and all tax payers with business mileage.

When you know where your mileage log is you will tend to keep better track of gas usage so that you can turn it in to your employer or to your accountant when the time comes. Success in keeping track of this information is that you right where it is and remembering to write down information every time you stop for gas.
