Requirements In Taking The PMP Certification Exam

Many more people are getting acquainted with Project Management. They keep on hearing from PMPs that it is one of the most in demand jobs in the world today. And I agree with that. Companies and organizations in every fields and industries need project managers in order to develop their skills and then produce a great success in their business.

So, to those who are interested, you need to know that there are certain requirements you must possess in order to qualify to take the exam.

Be A Diploma Holder

If you are a high school graduate or diploma holder, you need to earn 5 years of PMP experience. And then take 35 hours of education in project management. For Bachelor's Degree holders or those who graduated with any 4 year course, you are only required to achieve 36 months of project management experience. You are also required to complete 35 hours of PMP training.

Find a good institution or company that teaches high quality PMP Education. Make sure they are approved by the Project Management Institute (PMI). They will provide all the necessary knowledge you need to learn and helps you apply it during your PMP training experience. The last process in the PMP training is to test if you have really absorbed the lessons you've learned through taking a PMP Exam Simulator. Then file up an application from your nearest PMI Center. And, of course, prepare enough money for the cost expected to spend.

After completing these requirements, you are now able to take the exam. If you pass, you will be able to obtain the desired PMP Certificate and be a certified Project Manager.

Take the PMP Exam

The Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam is composed of 200 questions and must be completed after 4 limited hours. And, as usual, there is a fee in taking this test. As for newbies, you need to pay almost 550 US Dollars. And for international PMP applicants, keep in mind that the exam fees keeps on changing due to the changes of local tax fees and other cost increase in certain countries.

The role of all Project Managers like you is very important. Every company is required to have them if they want their business to succeed. They are the ones who plan and execute the project goals and objectives of a particular company and with all their might, accomplish it according to the deadline given.

With these summarized information, I'm sure you will be able to pass this examination. Just remember, this PMP exam is a difficult exam. Just strive hard and be determined and dedicated on your study. Don't lose hope and have confidence in yourself. You can do it. Good luck in your exam!
