Traffic Generation is one of the most important things you must learn when it comes to creating and selling your products online or even selling other peoples products via an affiliate link. A website without traffic, no matter how good the sales copy is, is simply useless and really is a waste of time. These websites need traffic for them to even begin making any money. However, while it is one of the most important things you must learn there are still beginners out there who don't know where to start or have the slightest idea which areas work for those without a huge budget. I have compiled 3 of the simplest traffic generation methods below.

Firstly, one of the most common and simple methods out there is article marketing. It is quite time consuming at first to write an article but as long as the subject you are writing the article about is one which you know well then it shouldn't take more than a few hours. This may seem like a long time but the more articles you write the easier it becomes, you start to fall into your own writing style and will soon be able to write an article in around 30 minutes. The best thing about this Traffic Generation method is that it is free and highly targeted, all it takes is a little time and knowledge.

Secondly, there is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This method is another free method which basically involves updating and improving your website in the eyes of a search engine to help it rank better in the search results. These improvements can be made in the form of the content, the layout and also making sure keywords are relevant. This Traffic Generation method only involves you making little tweaks here and there and is a lot less time consuming than creating a whole new website because the old one wasn't getting enough traffic. As afore mentioned this method is another completely free method, it simply takes a little time and effort on your part and when it is applied correctly it can boost the amount of traffic you receive considerably.

Last, but not least, there is Pay Per Click advertising (PPC) this method is, if you haven't guessed from the name, a method which costs money. This is simply where you advertise your link on a search engine, for instance Google, and you are charged for every click on your link. This Traffic Generation is even more highly targeted than article marketing and will save you a lot of time but, obviously, it is going to cost more as it is not a free method. With PPC you receive what you pay for, so the more you invest into this method then the more traffic you will receive.
