I believe that many people fail to sell products on eBay due to the fact they have a poor auction title. You can have the best looking auction in the world but if your title is poor your auction may not get the visitors it deserves and may not sell. It's a fact you can't deny that if you don't get visitors to your auction it wont sell, never forget that.

So it goes without saying that the main way to actually get people to view your auction is via an effective title and that starts with using all the available characters available to you. Typical mistakes I see people make creating a title that is under the 55 characters that is at your disposal or creating a title that is not to the point and does not tell the potential buyer what they are selling. When creating an auction title you should do three things.

1. You should try to use as many of the 55 available characters as possible. The more you can tell the potential buyer about your product before they have even opened the auction the better.

2. While still maintaining an informative title, try not to waffle on if the title is not to the point potential buyers will almost certainly lose interest and look elsewhere.

3. Try to use as many keywords that apply to your product as possible. Lets for example say your product is about getting rock solid stomach muscles, you should try to use words like; Abs, quick, fit, easy, rock solid, toned etc, etc. The reason you do this is because most people will find your product via the eBay search tool. This means they will most likely search for keywords instead of looking for a specific title if they are just browsing products. Also I'd like to add that you should not be afraid to use upper case in certain words in your title to draw in potential buyers attention. Also, don't use made up words that won't get searched for. A perfect example of this is using words like L@@K or W@W, these are words that no one will ever search for so why use them?

By following these simple tips I am sure your sale potential will increase, many people forget the importance of a good title, remember this will be the first thing potential buyers are going to see if they look at your product, so if your title can grab their attention they are most likely to purchase your product compared to other similar products.
